Math Gauge

Math Gauge is PsiFi’s mathematics category: logic, number theory, geometry, probability and puzzles. The problems reward thinking differently rather than knowing more formulas, and some of the one-line answers take far longer to find than to write.

Not every round is an exam paper. Past rounds have included Math Bingo, played out on the lawn with oversized dice, where teams solve problems in real time to move across the board.
